Position Profile: VP Sales
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

Type: Full-time
 
Our Client is seeking a strong Vice President (VP) of Sales with experience in sales and service strategies, revenue generation and execution. The VP Sales will be accountable for the sales team while working closely with the CEO in creating and executing the strategic sales plan.
 
Responsibilities:
·          Define the strategy and vision for the sales team and develop revenue forecasts.
·          Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of the company.
·          Create and implement strategies for penetrating new markets.
·          Responsible for hiring, training and mentoring sales team members.
·          Set targets and metrics, monitor progress and report on sales activity.
·          Develop and maintain marketing intelligence and an understanding of market trends, client business needs, and industry reactions to the company's initiatives.
·          Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to ensure client satisfaction.
 
Experience:
·          8+ years of solid sales management experience with solid track record of success in selling high-tech.
·          Demonstrated experience in growing revenue to a $10 million + run rate.
·          Experience in building strong, lasting and high functioning sales teams.
·          Successful record in growing high-tech start-ups.
·          Strategic and analytical thinker with clear and effective communication skills.
·          Analytical and business skills to oversee financial and administrative areas including sales administration, financial reporting, budgeting and sales support.
·          Deep cross-functional knowledge and experience within all areas of sales operations.
·          Demonstrated ability to create and execute a long-term sales strategy plan.
·          BA/BS or similar required.
